Green Gold Animation launches ‘Green Gold Store‘ in Hyderabad

Green Gold Animation has yet again launched a pioneering venture in the Indian Animation space. The creators of Indian kids‘ favourite animation character on TV ‘Chhota Bheem‘ have opened ‘Green Gold Store‘ in Hyderabad an exclusive outlet for Green Gold character merchandizes in various categories. The store started operations earlier this month and so far has garnered amazing response. The 150 sq.ft store is located in Eat Street, Necklace Road, Hyderabad surrounded by beautiful lawns, restaurants, recreational facilities and good view of the city of Hyderabad along with the lake. Walt Disney Appoints Avinash Pant as Executive Director

The Walt Disney Company in India yesterday announced the appointment of Mr. Avinash Pant as Executive Director, Marketing, Walt Disney International. The role reports to country manager, Managing Director, Mr. Mahesh Samat. In this new ro le, Mr. Pant will be responsible for building the Disney brand by driving the company's marketing strategy, coordinating all Disney business marketing efforts and providing leadership in developing key global and local franchises in India. Avinash will also oversee corporate communications as well as the Creative Design Cell and Live Events functions. "We are focused on building a family entertainment brand in India," said Mr. Samat. Asifa India organizes CG Meetup with Animation Filmmaker Mahee Pal: 12 May 2011

Asifa India recently organized a CG Meetup in Mumbai. The speaker of CG Meetup this time was the winner of IAD’08 Awards of excellence, Mahee Pal. The event was held at Whistling Woods International campus. Mahee elaborated on his style of creative development of animated short films. He started the session by playing the Bengali music which inspired him to make the movie- “The Adventures of Lalkamal and Neelkamal” an 11 minute short which won him the Asifa best animated short film (professional category) award. The character inspiration behind the movie is shadow puppets which was his inspiration since he was 4 year old.
